The Sumner Tunnel will be closed seven days a week in the summer of 2024 from July 5, 2024, to August 5, 2024. During this time, traffic will be diverted through signed detour routes.
Significant traffic congestion and delays are expected throughout the city of Boston as a result of the tunnel closure. Bus trips will be delayed traveling into and from Boston Logan International Airport.
Massport recommends travelers arrive 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights. Please plan ahead and take an earlier bus than previously scheduled.
